Course Description:

This course  teaches students to understand business concepts and the impact of business on individuals and wider society. Students can then apply this knowledge to different types and sizes of businesses in local, national and global contexts.

This in turn develops students to be enterprising individuals with the ability to think commercially and creatively solve business problems. They are able to develop their financial knowledge relevant to business such as using and interpreting data.

Assessment:

100% examination
Two papers each 1 hour and 30 minutes and 90 marks

Why should I study this course?

GCSE Business is increasingly relevant to every students’ daily life whether it is regarding finances, technology or as consumers. By understanding the business world we live in then we are able to build the skills to become employable, prepared for further study or just more informed global citizens. Trips: Students will be given the opportunity to partake in a Year 10 Business Studies trip to Paris, including exclusive EuroDisney business workshops. Students will explore key business concepts such as marketing, branding, and customer service through hands-on experiences at one of the world’s most successful entertainment brands. The trip also includes cultural tours of Paris, offering insights into the city’s rich history. This unique opportunity combines practical business learning with cultural enrichment, allowing students to apply their classroom knowledge in a global context. It’s a fantastic way to deepen business understanding and have fun while experiencing the magic of EuroDisney!
