Course Description:
History is a well-received qualification as it encourages you to think critically and creatively, develop problem-solving skills and be able to research independently.
The course covers a wide span of both national and world history, including medieval medicine through to the NHS and beyond, and the impact of the trenches and weapons of World War One on medicine. As well as Elizabeth I’s reign and the Spanish Armada, we also look at the rise of the USA and USSR as world superpowers after World War Two and, Hitler’s rise to power and the Nazi Regime in the 1930s.
